Tobi Fieg wins HOTZONE.TV & THE SEEKER Groms Open 2010
This year again, the shred saison in the Vans Penken Park was started by the young shredders up to 18 years of age. Just in time for the HOTZONE.TV & THE SEEKER Groms Open, the Vans Penken Park was ready with an impressive setup designed by Stefan Plattner and his team.
The conditions were as good as it gets: bluebird and - of course - a perfectly shaped Vans Penken Park guaranteed for a great atmosphere. And there was even some fresh snow for the training session in the morning. At the qualification on the Medium Line, the 21 participants from all over Europe tried their hardes tricks on the various boxes, rails and the medium sized jumps. The judges Andi Lehmann, Lars Oesterle and Fenky - the Seeker - himself had to evaluate the final runs of the 8 best riders who battled for 1000 EURO prize money.
Local rider Tobi Fieg from Rohrberg won the final Jam Session with his with his bs 9 to fs 3. Georg Huber from Ramsau was lucky and won the competition of riders under 16 and got second in the overall standing. Simon Pircher from Westendorf landed on the third place with a bs 3 melon to fs 7 tailgrab, followed by Daniel Rajcsanyi who landed a stylish bs 7 japan. Florian Corzelius got 5th with his bs 3 to fs 9 revert followed by Stefan König, who unfortunately bailed trying a bs 3 to bs 7 in the finale. Johannes Handle got 7th, followed by Samy Kahn. At the award ceremony, not only the finalists but all participants of the HOTZONE.TV & THE SEEKER Groms Open 2010 won loads of prizes from Vans, HOTZONE.TV and the Seeker..
The HOTZONE.TV & THE SEEKER Groms Open were the start of a one week long park openings of the Vans Penken Park. Local snowboard pros like Werni Stock, Peter König etc., as well as some Vans Teamriders are looking forward to a great season 2010 in the Vans Penken Park..
