Harakiri Run 78% incline
Code of Conduct for Austria's steepest slope
Harakiri – read and ride
What you should know before riding Austria's steepest slope.
Harakiri – nothing comes close
  • An average incline of 78%
  • Often extremely icy riding conditions due to artificial snow and the steep incline
Harakiri – What requirements a rider should meet
  • Knowledge of the FIS rules
  • perfect body control
  • skiing skills that are above-average
  • excellent, sophisticated skiing technique
  • stable body position
  • concentrate your weight on the outer ski – do not lean towards the slope
  • carve hard
  • good equipment – including sharp edges and a helmet
  • use your skiing poles
  • snowblades and short skis are strictly forbidden on the Harakiri!
Our advice: If you want to find out whether your skiing skills are sufficient for the Harakiri slope, try slope number 17 first. If you have no problems on that slope, you are ready to dare a ride on Austria's steepest slope.

Have fun!
