| Ahornbahn already awarded two important architectural prizes
The bottom station is an impressive and glorious sight at the foot of Leisure Mountain Ahorn. The sun is performing galanty shows on the dark-grey concrete, making the construction look even more impressive. When planning the construction of this extraordinary cable car, it was kept in mind that all tourist activities should blend into the surrounding natural scenery. Without using architectural flamboyance on the outside, the inside is equipped with the latest technical features the cable car industry has to offer. Therefore, this project has recently been awarded the European architecture prize “best architects” and the prize of the Austrian Cement and Concrete Industry 2007.
